What can you edit in a PDF here?

Select supported Arabic or English text in your PDF to change its words, size and color, or add new writing anywhere on a page, then reorder, rotate or remove pages. Arabic replacements use the Tajawal font. For scanned or drawn lettering, optional OCR reads the page first; an OCR edit rebuilds that page as an image with selectable replacement text. It all runs in your browser, free and without a watermark, up to 30 MB and 100 pages.

How it works

1

Upload the PDF you want to edit.

2

Select text on the page or in the list and change its content, font and color. Use Add text to write in a new position.

3

Save and download your edited PDF.

Write on PDF in Arabic or English

Add a name, date or note without converting to Word. Select a page, add text and adjust its size, color and box width. Drag it or use the position controls, and review the preview before downloading.

What this PDF editor can change

Supported original text is replaced or deleted as actual text objects, with selectable replacements and no page rasterization in that mode. For scanned or outlined writing, optionally run OCR and review the reading and area first. Applying an OCR edit rebuilds the affected page visually with selectable replacement text; the rest of that page becomes an image. Fonts may differ and neighbouring paragraphs do not reflow. Add text is a separate mode that saves writing as transparent image overlays.

A private, browser-based PDF editor

Previewing, writing, OCR and saving happen in your browser without uploading your PDF. Recognition assets are downloaded from Astr when requested, and the original file stays unchanged. Check names and numbers: accuracy is not guaranteed, especially with poor images or handwriting. Editing a digitally signed document can invalidate its signature.

Frequently asked questions

How do I edit a PDF?

Upload your PDF, select a page and click text in the preview or choose it from the list. Change its content, size and color, with undo and restore-original controls. Enlarge the area for longer text before saving. You can also add new writing and organize pages.

Is it free?

Yes, the PDF editor is completely free with no watermark.

Can I add text to the PDF?

Yes. Use Add text to write in a new position in Arabic or English. Additions in this mode are transparent images, not copyable text. The separate Edit original text mode replaces supported source text with selectable, copyable text.

Are my files private?

Yes. All editing happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Can I edit every PDF or securely redact sensitive information?

No editor can guarantee an identical result for every file. Supported native text is edited directly; optional Arabic and English OCR reads scans and outlined lettering. Review the reading first. Applying an OCR edit rebuilds that page as an image with selectable replacement text, and other text, links and fields on it may lose their interactive properties. This is not secure redaction or form-field editing. Any edit may invalidate a digital signature.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 30 MB and 100 pages. Text edits: 500 blocks, 50,000 characters overall and 2,000 per block. OCR recognizes one page at a time, with visual edits limited to 10 pages per file. Add text: 50 boxes and 10,000 characters overall. Very complex pages and protected files may be rejected.
